Privacy Policy

How DaitchLens collects, uses, and protects information.

Last updated: September 1, 2026

1. Two Kinds of Data

This policy covers two distinct kinds of data. First, account data we collect from the Customer to provide the Service — names, work email, billing details, and configuration. Second, monitoring data captured through the Service — such as screen streams, recordings, screenshots, audio, and session and consent events — which belongs to the Customer, who acts as its controller. DaitchLens processes monitoring data on the Customer's behalf.

2. How We Use Information

We use account data to provide, secure, and improve the Service, process billing, and communicate with you. Monitoring data is processed only to deliver the capabilities the Customer has enabled and to maintain the audit trail; we do not use it to build advertising profiles or sell it.

3. Consent & Disclosure

The Service is built for disclosed, consented monitoring. Invasive capabilities are gated by employee consent, that consent is re-checked during each session, and consent grants and withdrawals are logged. The Customer remains responsible for providing the notices and obtaining the consents required by law in each relevant jurisdiction.

4. Self-Hosting

Customers on eligible plans may self-host the Service so that monitoring data remains entirely within their own infrastructure. In that deployment, DaitchLens does not receive or store the Customer's monitoring data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data with subprocessors — such as payment processors and, for DaitchLens-hosted deployments, cloud infrastructure providers — only as necessary to provide the Service, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

6. Security

We apply technical and organizational measures including encryption in transit, role-based access to recordings and screenshots, and a tamper-evident audit trail, to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

7. Retention

Account data is retained for the life of the subscription. Monitoring-data retention is configured by the Customer within the limits of their plan; when a retention window elapses, or a subscription ends, data is deleted or anonymized in line with that configuration and applicable law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information. Monitored employees should direct such requests to their employer as the controller of monitoring data; we will support Customers in fulfilling them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
